Not a day goes past without our team being asked questions about the ecological nature of our products. What substances are used in the manufacture of our products? How are our textiles treated and finished? Are there any harmful heavy metals in our dye substances? This is why Müller Zell has been certifying its textiles for almost ten years with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, a leading German ecological testing laboratory that has established strict standards for the safety and protection of our planet and the human beings that inhabit it.

In vast contrast with cheap producers such as China, India and other less scrupulous manufacturing nations, Müller Zell, based in the very heart of the European mainland, clearly recognizes the importance of protecting the environment and acting in a socially and ecologically responsible manner.

Increasingly, more and more people in modern Europe are learning to examine textiles and clothing from a more ecological point of view. The Media supports and spreads this trend through its continual exploration of themes such as the use of harmful substances in textile production and their negative effects on the environment and, most importantly, any implications for human health. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is committed to continuous research into the limits for harmful substances, and also to providing input and motivation to the industry to drop harmful processes and substances and instead develop solutions which deliver the same results but without paying the price of harming both people and the environment.
